My 2003 G35's Nav screen was stolen prior to me purchasing it and seeing that a replacement is more than twice the cost of a top-notch Garmin widesreen and seeing that the previous owner put a base model center dash in that doesn't have the spot for the Nav screen, how do I remove the DVD Drive in the upper glovebox or can I? I'd like to have a little extra storage there like the base model, but if I can remove the DVD Drive will it leave a hole behind the upper glovebox or will there be usable space?

Why not look on ebay and get replacement parts for NAV?

Otherwise, the FSM should have information on removing the components: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G35/Coupe/2003/

Have you ever looked them up... The center console with working Nav screen goes for well over $1,000. Be easier to just swap out the upper glovebox... unless you want to donate a grand to the cause.

I don't have a 1st gen G so I have not looked them up. I'd rather donate to my own vehicle.

good luck
