I've seen some 4.5L swaps, but they were extreme swaps. I'd say go forced induction and be happy with the VQ

I agree with audtatious the VQ is very strong and full of potential with some boost..... maybe an engine build is in order for high boost??

I just blew out my bottom end so I've been shopping around to find the best company that builds a VQ35DE engine and I've come up with Import Parts Pro out of Texas. They will send you and stage1,2,3,4 engine ready to your specs our pre set. Price is reasonable compared to dealer quote of $11K for bone stock! I'll end up spending about $7K with built motor ready for turbo inculding warranty. oh yeah core charge is high $1,500
