I see that there are alot of issues with the manual mode in cars like mine but i didnt see one quite like my issue (excuse me if i missed it). My manual mode does not work as I would think, or like my freinds or the other G's i test drove. all positions of the shifter work as they should. The issue comes in when i go into manual mode. No matter what my speed is (0-the fastest i have ever tried it) the display reads 4. If i am stopped and I do this the car remains in 1st gear as it should, but the screen reads 4. If i leave it there and pull away the car runs through all of the gears up to 4th. If i move it up to 5th it will procede into 5th gear as it should, but when I come to a stop the car simply runs down through all of its gears and the screen continues to say 5 instead of returning to 1st like i believe it is supposed to. Am I wrong about how this is suppose to work or is something off here?
Thanks

No, it should change with the shifts.

Are you sure that the other G's you drove were 03 models? I'm pretty sure that the rpm matching didn't come on the 03. My 03 sedan works just like you described yours to be working. I actually like it better. I had a earlier model (i think an 05) as a loaner and I forgot that it matched rpms a couple times after a stop. So I ended up revving it out in 1st gear. If you want to drive in a lower gear you can just drop it down like a stick shift. I like it better this way because you can floor it while you drop gears and take off then hold it til it's max rpm. Have fun!
