Hello - I'm looking at upgrading my 2003 factory 18" rims with a set of 19" Rays g35 coupe factory.

I have the premium package (non-brembo package) so should I have any issues fitting the factory Rays 19s on as is?

How much performance change will I see - such as mpg or 0-60?

Yes I've priced the tires - 19"s are expensive .. but I really like the look of the 19"s vs the 18"s I have.

I've been frequenting these forums for just over a year now so I would just like to to say this is a great resource - thank you in advance!!

Welcome to the club. Glad you joined.

I haven't experience the change from 18s to 19s because mine came with 19s, but the 19s are forged and are the lightest I've been able to find for that diameter.

I know you addressed this already, but 19" tires are horribly expensive. Moreso than 20s in a lot of situations. Just some food for thought.

Since you'll have more rotating mass away from the axle, you may see a slight decrease in performance and fuel efficiency. I don't think it should be drastic.

The 19s should fit the Brembos as I seem to remember them being offered as an option on the 1st gen Gs.

No fitment issues.

You don't have the Brembos, so they'll fit nicely.

Whats TPS? I see sometime that some wheels comes with TPS ... does the car has to have something special to integrate the TPS? I got an 03 coupe and also looking for some Rays 19.

Your car already has TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system). They are located at the end of the valve stem inside the wheel. Just re-use your tpms if you get the 19" rays.

The system is there and you will only know if one of your tires gets below 28psi, then an indicator will show up on your gauge cluster. Look at the valve stems on your car. Are they rubber or metal? If they are metal you will have the tpms. It monitors itself, nothing you see except an "idiot" light on the cluster. 04+ had the system, so I guess you build date would be the key if you have it or not. Just check the valve stems, easy way to tell. Now if you dont have the system, then it doesn't matter if you get wheels without them.

Everyone, thank you again for all of the replies! And thank you for having me on these forums =)

My apologies for the necro, its been a very busy summer and i'm just now getting a chance to reply.

I do not have the brembos so I'm still looking at the 19"s as an option. Thanks again!
