2003 Chilkoot Instrument Cluster - Alternate?

My first post on behalf of my father-in-law who has a 2003 Chilkoot with a gas gauge that's not functioning........

His dealership service techs have told him it's the instrument panel after trying to replace parts at the gas tank end of things.

I've found a used cluster online described as "(CLUSTER), KPH, LE (AT), W/VDC (VEHICLE DYNAMIC CONT), W/TPMS". We know the vehicle does not have VDC or TPMS.

Question: Will this alternate cluster work?

I am assuming that the wiring harness is exactly the same and that this cluster would just have extra lights that won't be activated. Am I oversimplifying?

Yes, it will work. The wiring harness should be identical.
