oneeye wrote:Ok guys hope you can help me... I purchased a 2003 Altima with a bad engine, so I bought one from the salvage yard with 60,000 miles replaced it. Car started ran for about 30-45 minutes everythings fine only thing wrong was that the check engine light was on. Came the next day plug the scanner and it read that the crank sensor is bad so I cleared the code try to start it and it took a while to start. What can cause the car to do that. My friend said that I had to change the flywheel cause the old flywheel had more holes than the new one and thats how the crank sensor reads it or something like that... Thanks Oneeye
I'm assuming from your post that you replaced the engine yourself.
Congratulations
I would pay a visit to the local Nissan dealer and seek out the service manager. Perhaps paying for one hour of diagnostic time would solve the problem for you.
Just my $.02
Good luck
