I have a 03 Altima that was hit in the passenger front-- got into the main fuse and relay box(Nissan Dealership called it a Intellagance Module) it smushed it alittle broke some plugs on the harness,,, i spliced in the plugs and replaced the box,, now the fans comes on and motor won't start---heres the question ,, is splicing the wires changed the resistance to cause code problems,,, or when the box got busted did it mess the engine ECM up,,,

i replaced the ecm with one but it has the same stock number but different part number,,, when i done that the car started but started throwing codes,,,,,

Is it the wiring harness or the ECM?

when doing the self check(on the electrical) the car does everything,,, it turns everything on and off by itself and reads fine,,,

i've built a few but this is rediculous,,, lol

you might want to chase wires and make sure none of your wires are shorted, BUT since on the self check every thing works...thats a tuff one!

I know it,,, it shows that it kicks the fans on headlights on and back off and everything but sometime when you kick the key over it'll throw codes and sometimes it won't,,, it's costing me a fortune but i'll PREVAIL ,,,lol,,, i'll get it,,, i've learned a ton of thing the last few years on Nissans building these late model wrecks and have a back yard full of 02 and up parts (Alitma) cars,,i'll get back with ya when i figure this sucker out,,,, my opinion the ecm isn't the same part number and the car it came off of don't have some of the stuff my altima i'm working on has,,,
