2003 altima : automatic transmission fluid refill

how do i refill my automatic transmission fluid? i drained it thinkging it was the engine oil...found out i was wrong after i drained it all...how do i put it back in? i have a 2003 altima 2.5se auto

you fil it through the trans dipstick tube. Start off with about 3 1/2 quarts and start checking it from there. The car must be running when checking it. Before you check it though cycle the shifter through each of the gear positions with out driving it after you dump the intitial 3 1/2 quarts in. You goal is to get it to the top of the cold area on the stick. Once you obtain that take it for a drive and recheck it.
