I've got a 2003 Altima 2.5 and I've been having some trouble with it lately. It is throwing only 1 code, P0507 - High Idle. It idles around 1400 rpms and sometimes wanders from 800-2000 and it accelerates even when off the gas pedal. I want to say that it wanders more when cold, but I believe it does it when warm too. The car is completely stock.

I was thinking possibly the TPS, EGR, or IACV. But I really have no clue. Anyone know any common problems such as this, or have any good guess at what it is?

Thanks

You might have gotten better answers if you placed your thread in the right part of the forum...throwing it in the general chat isn't the place for this thread.

You could try this: Throttle valve closed position learn. First make sure that engine and trans are at full operating temp, all electrical loads off and trans in park.

1. turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds.2. accelerator pedal fully released, turn ignition on and wait 3 seconds.3. fully depress and then release accel pedal 5 times within 5 seconds.4. wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accel pedal and hold it for approx. 20 seconds until the MIL stops blinking and turned ON.5. fully release accel pedal within 3 seconds after the MIL goes off.

Give that a shot.
