about 3 weeks ago i got hydrolock. everything is clean and or replaced. so far i have cleaned out the engine, cleaned igniton coils and have replaced MAF, new battery, new spark plugs, and i have given it 2 oil changes. but now when i start the car it stays on for maybe 5mins at the most. drives normal but when in park or at a stop it dies, i can only think of 2 things that might be broken TPC or CPS. any suggestions??

Could you eloborate a little more on how you got the engine hydrolocked flood or etc.? Most I have seen on these 2.5's where they will just die and cut off for no reason or without a check engine lite has been crank or cam position sensors.Usually when it dies it will start back up in some cases.

my CAI suckt in water. once it died i knew what it was, so i didnt crank it again till i took off the spark plugs and cranked the water out that same day. after that i cleaned and dried with compressed air and replaced everything that need too. now when i start it i need to give it gas just to bring up the RPMs to stay at idle for those few mins. there seems to be a small back fire in the intake now. if i turn on the AC it stays on abit longer and the RPMs stay up more..

would a knock sensor be a problem? im trying to figure out what all these sensors do.

trottle position sensor ,cam position sensor and the knock sensor.

right now my car seems to have a studder and its abit hesitant when giving gas and when letting off the gas, also when pushing the gas to the floor it has all it drives great. but after a few mins it has a small back fire in the intake. could the timing be off since it seems to be a miss fire or something???

please any suggestions will help!
