I have a 2003 Nissan 350Z Performance model, it has header, cat delete, H-pipe, resonated. I have had this car for 3 years and all the exhaust work was done prior to me getting it. I am getting the following codes: P0031, P0037, P0051, P0057. and it keeps blowing the 15A fuse. what is could the issue be? should I just replace all 4 sensors and go from there?

hmm maybe someone with a header can chime in, could be a compromised o2 sensor up front due to the installer? might not hurt to get a sensor from a junkyard or borrow one just to try?

you have a short circuit somewhere in the heater control circuit. the fact that its affecting all sensors tells me its probably not a bad sensor but is happening pre sensor where the power and grounds originate. looking at the wiring diagram in the fsm they all share power coming from that 15 amp fuse, it goes from the fuse block to joint connector 4 then to all 4 sensors, then also shares grounds, goes from ground to joint connector 3 then splits to all 4 sensors.

my guess is the short is somewhere between the fuse and joint connector 4 or inside the joint connector itself.

What do you mean by joint connector 4? What exactly is that? Is it where the sensor plugs into the car side. Are the FSM on this site somewhere?

I haven't checked anything yet, this weekend I will get under there and see what I can find. Also I replaced the fuse again, cleared the codes to turn off the CEL and started the car and let it idle for 5-6 min, rev'd it a few times and drove it around the house and parked it- the light never came on.

the joint connectors are connectors inside the harness where one wire goes in and provides power or ground to a little metal strip which then splits the power and ground and sends it out of multiple wires. i couldnt find it anywhere in the fsm but since ive rewired my entire car i happen to know those connectors are behind the passanger side airbag in the main harness you have to unwrap it to gain access. sorry i dont check here very often. these are not easy to access connectors but like i said its gona be somewhere between the fuse block and there.

literally it has a connector side with all the wires then what appears to be a cap that contains the metal strip to connect all the wires.

WOW, you must have the most understanding partner in the world and also one of the largest houses to be able to drive your Z around it to do a test drive. LOL. :chuckle:
