Why is it my tire pressure light randomly comes on while doing higher speeds on the highway (70-80 mph) ?? It never comes on any other time. If i stop and turn the car off, the light does not come back on when I start the car. It only ever happens at these speeds.

How long have you been driving when you're getting up to highway speeds and the light comes on?

Have you driven at slower speeds for a similar length if time without the light coming on?

When the light cones on is it just the light or do you get the low psi audible alarm?

It does not happen at all when driving at slower speeds. It happens after driving for maybe 30-60 mins. And there is no alarm just a light. I don't even think the tire pressure is actually low. It seems like something is just tripping it.

It sounds like a battery that's on its way out. Since cold affects battery efficiency I'd be willing to wager that those shorter 30 minute alerts happened when it was colder outside than the 60 minute alerts.

Skip down this page a few posts and you'll see another thread regarding TPMS sensors.

When I got it inspected they did say I had a weak battery. Ill check it out. Thanks!
