It’s now been almost 1 whole year since installing the Swift springs and I can’t be happier with both performance and aesthetics. I was a bit skeptical before installing these that they would not give the actual look I wanted but now 12 months later I don’t think I have the need to switch to coilovers.

Being able to compare coilovers to these lowering springs on the Y34 (ride quality-wise) , I would rate them on a scale of 1-10 1 being Stock ride quality and 10 at the coilovers threshold of harshness, The Swifts springs are right around 3-4.

For the most part regular driving is just about the same as OEM ride quality. However like any lowering spring that decreases compression stoke, abrupt increases in pavement / i.e. rail road tracks and god forbid if you hit a pot hole, you can definitely feel the difference over the soft squishy OEM spring that has more travel length.

Stance height is definitely low enough for me. As a matter of fact they are the most aggressive set of lowering springs ever offered for the Y34. And unlike its now discontinued predecessors from Eibach and Tien that really didn’t lower them car enough for most tastes, the Swifts lower the car both front and back evenly.

With only about 10-14 days of regular driving (when first installed) and the springs settling into the factory rubber provisions, as promised by Swift, ride height has stayed rock solid and no change due to sagging that is experienced with most other lowering springs. I’ve experienced spring sage with the likes of Eibach and H&R on other cars in as little as 3-4 months.

This lowering springs kit is definitely by far the quickest, easiest to install. least expensive, quality solution for achieving a more aggressive look and handling for the Y34.

If you want to play with ride height, slam your car, enter stance shows, then it absolutely makes sense to go with coilovers. However at the price tag of $1200-$1500.00 and with the addition in some cases the need to custom weld as most quality coilover systems require it, these lowering springs from Swift are extremely enticing at $399.00 - $450.00 and is much less work for install. Now I know most of you will say that’s pricey for lowering springs but at the quarter of the cost of coilovers and with the same premium manufacturer and same unmatched performance and technology put into the springs they manufacture for the Nissan GTR, it IS well worth it. Much Thanks and appreciation to Swift Springs for helping us come out with this application for our Y34s
