Not even sure if I am having a battery problem. About a month and a half ago the car wouldn't start, a friend tried to jumpstart it and nothing. So I went back to the car the next day, and magically the car started. Went to the dealer the subsequent day, they say nothing is wrong with the battery. So yesterday similar situation, I drive a short 5 minute distance to a friend's house, 5 minutes later I jump back in the car it won't start. This time I don't even try to jumpstart it. I let it relax for an hour and try to start it. No luck. so today, after I let the car have a time out (since she is clearly misbehaving ) and think about what she really wants to do, I gave her a jumpstart and she drives me home. I drove the car around for about 20 miles. When I park the car in the garage, the interior lights flicker. I get out the car and realize that the headlights are also flickering. I pop the horn, and nothing. The only sound I heard was the sound of what seemed to be the lights flickering. Or maybe something tinkering under the hood, but I am not looking there.

Is this a battery issue or are we dealing with something more serious?

Sounds like it could be either a battery or alternator issue. Seems more battery related since it will drive once it starts. How old is the battery? If over 3 yrs, it probably needs replacement before winter anyways.
