Hi I bought a used 2002 GXE with California emissions it was getting a P0138 bank 1 sensor 2 was staying at a constant 300mv and its associated short term fuel trim was N/A. I replaced the ox sensor and now on the scanner its says o2 ready where before it was not. will the N/A change after driving for awhile or will it stay like that ( it's normal?)

Is it still throwing the code?

It'll need to go through the drive cycle before it's ready for an emissions test (once you cleared the code and replaced the sensor).

I hope I understood your question - Welcome aboard!

No Code has returned
the sensor ( B1S2) has been replaced and is no longer a flat liner at 300mv, how long does a drive cycle take and what driving conditions? I was thinking it might be something like that so Tomorrow being Saturday I am going to drive to 3 Harbor freight tools. Some Freeway some highway stop and go. Thanks it's great to be here as I look around, very spacious...BTW thanks for the service manual,
the sensor is now voltage wise sort of following the upstream o2 sensor it's just the short term fuel trim for bank1 sensor2 says N/A

Awesome, sounds like you're on your way.

I'm not certain of the drive cycle - I believe it's in the FSM, but don't hold me to it.

Regardless, put some miles on it and it should be ready for testing in a week. Also, some scanners will tell you if the cycle has completed.

my scanner just has emissions ready and it now says the o2 is ready from not being ready. I can't wait to use the states emissions self service kiosk. Trying to imagine what it looks like. probably has a retractable cable with an ALDL connector on the end and i am sure some type of camera to make sure your not hooking it up to a notebook in the back seat....not that i would do that...everybody stop looking at me like that. it does not need the emissions test till the 27th of next month.
