2002 spec v no reverse

i have a 2002 spec v with 130k and its always had alil problem getting into reverse but today i went to back up and it just made the grinding noise and popped out

ive tried putting it into first and and then reverse, ive tried second and reverse, ive tried giving it gas and rolling alittle bit then putting it in reverse , pushing in the clutch acouple times, ive popped the hood and disconnected the 2 shifter cables and manually shifting into reverse the starting it up and it grinds and pops out, im out of ideas PLEASE HELP!!!! i probably need a transmission but if anyone has any other ideas id really appreciate it

I'm going to say reverse is shot. You might be able to have someone open it up and just replace what's bad.

Probably won't help, but have you changed out your transmission fluid lately?

its beenlike 10,000 miles since ive replaced it

I would say a bad syncro or maybe your shifter fork may be loose so it just doesn't find its way into gear?

i dont think reverse has syncros. it could possibly be the shifter fork but im probably just gonna replace the transmission
