You'll have to finagle the mounts. I've seen SR swaps into Specs. I believe it is as simple as a F/R mount crossmember and an SR transmission swap.

As long as you use the motor mounts from a SR powered B15 along with the crossmember, you won't have any issues at all. Just use the axles from the SR powered B15 as well. So that would mean 2000-2001 SE or SE P/P, depending on if you get a SR transmission that is non LSD or LSD.

The adapter kit is a bit pricey and I'm not sure how many have actually been made. Run a search for a member by the name of Trav4011, he makes them.

Yeah Travis is your best bet for info into this. That and he has done several different types of swaps into B15s.

He lives in Louisiana close to New Orleans last I heard. I am assuming he is still located there.

Well as far as the wiring diagrams go I am sure there is one out there to tell you how to change them however worst case scenario you can get a FSM for both cars and rework the wiring from there. I know there are some floating around online so you can do a search and it should turn up.

I'd get in touch with Travis on that as well. He's got the most experience with that swap.

Unfortunately I don't know if anyone else has messed with it other than Travis.

Everyone who has messed with it had him do it. Sorry for the bad luck there.

Trav also does the VQ35 swap, that's what you should be after anyway.

Yes, because 300whp (with boltons) in a FWD econobox is so drivable.

I think VQ swaps are a waste of time. Sure, it's quick, but as soon as you go to turn or stomp on it in any situation but an absolutely straight line, you fight torquesteer and end up miserable.

I know plenty of people will argue against that. It's just another perspective on swaps.

Trav's best piece of work is the SQR23DET, if I've got that designation right. Something like 9000rpm, a giant powerband, and as much power as a VQ, if not more. Still pointless in real-world conditions, but for the power-hungry, a more interesting and better setup.
