I changed the passenger side resonator because the old one was rattling. The resonator installed was NOT an eom part, it was a direct fit. Although the rattling is gone, there is a suttle vibration. Prior to the old resonator going bad, the QX4 was pretty silent. Now it just sounds different. Would an oem resonator make a difference or should I simply ignore and chalk it up to the fact the it's 11 years old? Any ideas?

Can you clarify your situation a little bit?
On a stock system, normally there is only one resonator, one muffler, and two catalytic convertors.
The resonator is the last piece of the exhaust, at the rear of the system, between the rear bumper and rear axle.
The short tail pipe comes out of the resonator.
All the stuff before that is the muffler and cats.
Did you replace your system with dual exhausts and therefore have 2 resonators,
or are you possibly talking about having replaced one of your catalytic convertors on a stock system?
Thanks.
