Got some problems with my power windows. I live in Indianapolis, IN. (Don't laugh, yea it sucks) but our winters aren't that bad. But when it gets down to just barely freezing temperatures the windows won't roll down. Is this something typical of these trucks? It seems like the motor should be a little more powerfull then that. Wouldn't really be an issue if I didn't have to use my i.d. badge to get into the gate at work every morning. I've had many other cars (maxima's, acura's, even domestic) and haven't really had this problem unless it was maybe 5-10 F or below. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yea I live in Indianapolis too, my windows will freeze also when its very very cold, recently the windshield wiper motors started locking up on me, very terrible for rainy day.

Yea, I was wondering if there was some type of gasket spray for the edges of the window seal, or the motor for the windows are just weak design by the manufacture.

I think the motors are just weak, mine do it to.

Very good question, this has happened to me as well. I thought it was odd but then again other vehicles never had this annoying problem.

Don't have any brilliant answer, but my '02 Pathy's windows have worked fine from day one, regardless of the temp.It gets freekin' cold up here, and they may slow down a bit, but they still work, no problem.I suspect it's more your truck, and not a general problem. Start by lubing the window channels, and go from there. One other point worth mentioning: I oil spray my truck every year, to prevent (or at least slow down) the rust.Part of the process is to spray inside the doors, so I'm guessing that has something to do with it. The window mechanisms get oiled as a result of the spraying. The other positive side effect from the oil spray is that my door locks and latches never freeze/seize. Anybody in a cold climate will know what that is like when it happens.Hope this helps.
