Hey everyone,

Since I have had my QX4 i always have a problem with the rubber trim around the door opening coming loose. Whenever someone gets in or out it seems to keep coming off and then I have to reposition it in the right spot in the groove. This happens on both the rear doors.

Has anyone had this problem? any fixes?

Thanks!

It happened to my rear doors too, although not too loose. I used double side Scotch tapeon the door frame then puch the rubber seal back in place. It is no longer loose.

Try this, pull some of the rubber trim from the door frame. When you look at the groove where it slides onto the frame try pinching the groove tight. Inside the rubber is a metal sleeve which should bend when you pinch it. Pinching it will give it a better grip onto the door frame. You might also want to clean the metal that the rubber seal attaches to.

i noticed mine comes off whenever i try to put it on too tight.

what i mean: you need to give it some extra length, where the rubber gasket "hides" into the plastic, (at the bottom), pull it out an inch or two. I noticed it stays better when you give it more gasket. that works for me... if it doesnt work for you, i would just use some black tube silicone (bathroom silicone) to secure it...
