I have an 2002 qx4 and the a/c only works sometimes. Freon levels look good and the issue is with the conpressor cycling on and off. I put a new fan clutch on thinking it was bad and this didnt fix the issue. At night and in the early morning it works great. During the heat of the day the conpressor starts cycling. Any suggestions? Also, im not sure if this would cause any issues but i dont see any dripping coming from under the car when the compressor is running. Where can i find the drain line on my car to see if its clogged? Thanks!

It actually does sound like a low charge despite what you're seeing. Read through my post here. I'd start with bringing it to a shop and have them check the system pressure to start with. It should be cheap or free and will give you excellent direction.

As far as the A/C drains go, check out this post. I think they're the same thing.

Is the dripping water? If so, it may just be water vapour condensate. If it is yellowish, or neon green and oil, locate your receiver dryer and check for leaks. A short or open clutch or circuit can cause the issue you are describing.

If you're sure the charge is good, check the a/c relay.
