2002 QX4 A/C

My QX4 is 10 years, has over 138 miles and the A/C has never been serviced. The A/C continues to work as good as new but lately I hear it running a bit louder. Not any rattling or mechanical noise, just that it's "less quiet" than before. Should I not worry about it? Should I have checked out by a pro? If so, where should I take it? Is there something I can do on my own? I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.

My A/C compressor is noisy as well; it has been since at least 70k miles I believe. I have 131k miles now, still functioning perfectly. If it isn't broken or suffering performance-wise, I'd leave it alone.
