2002 Q45 will not start (any electrical experts?)

Started car this morning fine and moved into garage. Needed to change out interior dome light on driver side. The dome light wouldn't come on when opening door (like the passenger side) but would illuminate when turned to the on position. I check the bulb, connection, etc and while doing this realize the driver side interior door light is no longer illuminated and neither dome lights are working. So interior lights aren't working and now car will not turn, neither key fob or valet can turn it. Any advice is welcome!

Question: Are you not able to turn the ignition to start it? You might try taking the key out of the ignition, and flipping the key, and then re-insert it into the ignition to see if it will turn. Also, you might try another key, if you have one, check the battery, and terminals to make sure there connected. Hope that helps.

I would first try to get the car started. And then worry about the lights (probably a fuse, or short or something).

Ignition won't turn at all, stays in locked position only. Any reason a fuse or short would not allow the car to turn? No problems at all until I went to change the bulb. Thanks for the responses guys.

Check and see if your Security light is blinking or constant on. If it is constantly on Then Alarm is enabled. Lock and unlock doors with key fob.

Car issue resolved.

First fuse I checked was the "room lamp" fuse. I swore it wasn't blown the first time I checked it. Turns out, the second time I checked it, it was blown. So now everyone who reads this knows, without the room lamp fuse, your car will not start! Thanks again guys.
