2002 Q45 Voice Recognition Help

Just bought a 2002 Q45 with only 37k for 12k. Absolutely stoked with the purchase as it came from a private party I know well, car has had all svc done at dealer and body is absolutely perfect and the car runs well.

I can't seem to get the voice recognition on the car to work. After reading the manual, I press the voice button on the steering wheel and all is says is "Voice not Ready" am I missing something?

Also, sunroof does open or close smoothly, stops and button has to be pressed again. Any thoughts?
