Ladies & gents,

Would anyone know of an aftermarket strut replacement for my 2002 Q45 Sport (with optional Sport setting)?

Was looking under and found that the right side strut has leaked, I can't tell how long it's been in that condition.

Appreciate your help and suggestions!Longlivetitus

Shocks are weak, worn out and pretty useless after 4 years or 60k, long before they start to leak.By now you need to replace all 4 not just the leaker!!!!!!!!!!!

Tires, brakes, shocks, belts and the dozens of other wear and tear items are the majority of the PRORATED annual cost to maintain.

You can put things off but then they really bite you big time.

I was estatic that I thought my Q was so cheap $8,800 in first 100k [7 years] until I got a $6k and a $7k bill in 2 consecutive years immediately after 100k. From things I was ignorant of needing replacement.

Average cost ~ $200 x 4 =~$800/4 years or $200 per year. Much less costly than tires and a little more than brakes, pads, and rotors.

A $4000 transmission cost $400 per year to use with a 10 year life.

Everything must be thought of in PRORATED terms.
