So it's not throwing any codes? Does the shaking stop after it warms up? Ticking sounds like timing chain tensioner rattle or lifters, but it's hard to say without being there...

thanks for responding q451990. yeah no codes.. mechanic said no hidden codes either..they cant figure it out. it shakes after warms up too. gas pedal is abnormal. the ticking was when it sat for some days.. it has a leak to in valve cover area too.. car is in good condition but cant get a mechanic to know what they are doing with these cars. it has 165k but it just started doing this. change plugs last year. need some serious help wanna get it fix before the heat comes. thanks

What is the condition of your oil - age and level through the dipstick?
And what do you mean by abnormal throttle, is this a new problem that came with the car sitting for 2 days as well?

For the "code-less" shaking, I'd note the idle RPM then disconnect and reconnect each coilpack. You might see a change, might not.
I know you say it shakes even when warmed up, but does it smooth out above a certain RPM?
Can you even rev it to about 5,000 while stopped and in park?

If that fails, disconnect the battery overnight and see what symptoms the next day brings.

thanks for responding edBwoy. i get oil change every 3k. just had one done in april. yeah the gas pedal power just isnt there like before. no it has power but i can tell the difference. i feel the shaking when in park or in drive while waiting for the light. it starts shaking after the 1000rpm when warming up, then at 500rpm still shaking. when waiting on the light its at 200rpm very close to the 0 still shaking. when i mean shaking, is vibrating enough for me to notice because it wasnt doing that before. i let it sit for like 6 dys and when started,it was a hard start and i hear that ticking noise. but it gradually goes away when warming up but still feel the shaking.

Still curious if you can rev the engine to 5,000 rpm.

Your idle is way off then. There are some things I'd try to clean/ensure are good:
- air filter
- MAF sensor in the intake tube
- Throttle plate (very careful with this one)

But since you'd most likely have to retrain the idle if you did the above, you might as well just try doing an idle relearn procedure as well as throttle position relearn first.
The instructions are outlined in the FSM, section EC most probably.

It rev up pretty good past 6000rpm goes farther but didnt need to. Engine sounds good. Just that shaking is bothering me. put in plugs and had throttle body clean last year with a relearn and still feel that shaking.

Hi guys.. ok I put new plugs oem, air filter, and cleaned maf. Have fuel filter did not put on because filter in tank and dont want that smell in trunk just yet. Still was shaking. Put new mounts. And shaking stopped. Car has good power now. But sometimes still feel shaking at light. Idle at 100 -200 rpm. Do i need a relearn. Had throttle cleaned last year and had a relearned done. Any experience with that fuel filter..trying to avoid it..thanks
