I posted about adding XM to a 02 Q45 awhile ago and haven't figured out how to do it yet. Does anybody know the configuration of the audio equipment in this car? Everything is controlled thru the 7" display and the joy stick and switches. Could the cassette deck be removed and a XM tuner be put in it's place? I assume the cassette is just a component plugged into the system. Would a tuner be compatable with that plug and if so, could it than be controlled thru the rest of the cars system? I know that I would need to control the stations, etc thru the tuner itself but could the volume and choice of source be controlled thru the car's system. I would hope the car would just treat the XM as the cassette. Am I crazy or could this work? I haven't listened to a cassette in years so it wouldn't be a big deal to lose it.

Doesn't anyone have an answer for this question? I would like to go with XM as well... The casette player might as well be an 8 track for all it's usefulness...
