2002 Q45 NavigationLatest Map 6.4

Refused to calculate route from NYC to SF/CA. Message is "distance is too long, please choose a closer destination".

Can someone try in their car?

I have a 2003 with version 6.3. I will try a cross country plot and let you know....

After experimenting with various destinations, I too have discovered that the Navigation in my 2003 will not plot a cross country trip.

I am located in the Washington DC area and it appears that the farthest West the Navigation will accept is Cincinnati, OH.

I am able to scroll the map across the country and zoom down into Golden Gate Park in San Franciso, but the system will not plot a course if I try to set the park as a destination.

This is a limitation that I never knew existed on the Infiniti system. My previous GS430 Navigation would plot cross country trips, so I'm not sure why the Infiniti system is limited.

I will need to investigate some more to see if this limitation can be "fixed"....

Navigation system owners's manual states 1100 miles is the the most it can calculate.
