Just joined the site and I'm happy to have found a forum with some insight to the Q45! Now to start...

I'm purchasing my first 02 Q45 to keep in Northern Indiana to toy with while the Mrs. and I are here in the summers. Its a 02 Q45, 94k miles, needs a new paint job (just my preference to get a quality job as I've heard the original paint is a bit thin) and some sensors. Its throwing a MAF sensor code and a rich/lean mixture code. Would this rich/lean mixture be for the o2's?

I own two Lexus' that I drive in TX and the Mrs. loves her FX45 down in TX. I know not many people own the 02-06 third generation Q45 but any insight as to where I can locate the front and rear 02 sensors would be greatly appreciated!

Looking forward to adding photos and tutorials to the site of repairs as I do with my Lexus'! Thanks again guys!

I have a home in Granger, a small burb of South Bend. I know where Ft Wayne is! Any help as to the rich/lean code from the front bank? I'd imagine its an O2 sensor from the front bank just not sure if right or left. My toys are kept in TX and the wife says I'm only allowed one toy in Indiana. Looking forward to getting it up on the lift in the pole barn and taking a look around.

The code is probably coming from the o2 sensor. Seems like o2 sensors like to last about 60-100k miles before funny things start happening.

Can you post exactly which error code(s) you got?

When the CEL comes on again I'll take it to the dealership and get it checked out. The guy who I bought it from couldn't remember the codes but knew it was the MAF sensor and rich/lean air fuel mixture front bank which I assumed was the O2 sensor. Brought it back on the flat bed but it drove fine today when I took it to the local Nissan/Infiniti dealer for a diagnostic. No codes or errors and the tech said it looked good. Quote tomorrow for a new paint job.

I'm a DIY'er. Any help with where the front/rear O2's are on the 02 Q45?

You can take it to autozone or some other parts store and they will scan codes for free.

Yea? Usually when my or my wifes car throws a code I'll stop by AutoZone for a quick check and get some OBD code to look up. Being that I just bought it yesterday I wanted a thorough diagnostic check and inspection from a Nissan/Infiniti mechanic.
