2002 q45 dead display screen

I just bought a 2002 q45 two weeks ago. after a week of driving the car would occasionally not start and would require a jump. It would happen about once a day. The dealer recommended I replace the battery before bringing car in to them. I went to pep boys and replaced the battery as well as a battery terminal. after the replacement the lcd screen that operates the radio and a/c unit does not work. The only button that works is the hazard button, and cool air is coming out of the vents lightly.
Any suggestions as to what this may be? Is it a fuse or something more serious?

Since none of the switches work except the hazard switch -and- the display is dead, I would suspect a fuse to a control unit. If you are technically savy, consult the DI section page 68 of the Factory Service Manual. The Q is an electrical machine - nothing works without a computer sticking its finger in things. There are several fuse panels both inside and under the hood. Again, consult the manual.
