A few days ago I had my 02 Q45 stall out in the highway. The code was P0340, Cam Position Sensor, Bank 1 Malfunction. So I replaced it and it ran for a few minutes, then stalled throwing the code again. I replaced the sensor a second time, thinking that it was a defective part. Once again, it ran a few minutes, and died again. At this point, I was at a Pep Boys, so I replaced the battery, (it needed replacing as it wouldn't crank on a cold day) and once again, it started up and ran for a few minutes before dying. Each time, after dying, it refuses to start, although it will crank. Any ideas as to what the problem might be? I have considered the wiring, and will be checking the voltage and resistance at the connector, see if there's a break anywhere, but hopefully there won't be since that wiring harness is horrific.

:welcome: to NICO!

If you don't have the FSM (factory service manual) for your car, head on over to http://www.infinitiservicemanual.com and download yours as a .pdf

There's a whole section on the CPS and possible reasons for your code starting on page EC-340

Some things to check are as simple as loosening and re-torqueing some engine ground connections.

Good luck!

Heath
