Not sure if anyone experienced the same thing but here goes.. I decided to clean my throttle body with TB cleaner and MAF sensor with MAF cleaner, and when I started the car up, the check engine light turned on. I had a buddy read the code at a Toyota dealership and it was a MAF error P0100. He stated that Infinitis have a tendency to throw a code if you clean the throttle body or MAF. He says he'll try to reset it with his tool but it might come back since these require only an Infiniti dealer to reset it. My MAF was fine prior to the cleaning so I can't imagine the cleaner would mess it up. Can this be possible? and is thereany other way to reset the ECU or remove the code without going to the stealers? *edit: forgot to mention my buddy at toyota cleared the code and it came back the next day. Any insight on this would be appreciated.. Thanks!!

Any Autozone can check and delete codes for you. Make sure your wiring harness is firmly connected to the MAF.

Why did you think your MAF needed cleaning?

Is this the 1999 in your profile or another 2002 F50?

Just sold the y33, forgot to update. I was getting terrible gas mileage-around 15.5, so i changed the filter and cleaned the maf and tb.

Don't forget the cabin filter too!

So, did the MAF appear dirty? Ohm test the KS yet?

I just wanted to mention that if you cleaned your throttle body with out cleaning the EGR Valve and changing the screen you may be getting build up there as well which will threw those codes back at you. Another thing is you may have gotten hand oils on the MAF after putting it back. I used an entire can of MAF cleaner and also cleaned all the connectors as well. I am actually going to suspect the EGR valve, because when you clean the throttle body, you can push more carbon back into the valve with out knowing.

VK45 in the F50 and Y34 don't have EGR valve.

Oh, OK thanks. For some reason I though it was similar in kind to the G50, because thats what happened when I cleaned my throttle body, it push carbon into the EGR valve which then threw codes.
