I have a 2002 Q45 Premium Package and really enjoy my car - upgraded from a M3.
I have a problem with the noise-compensation feature of my Bose audio system. I have been unable to establish how this feature is supposed to work or verify that it is working. When driving on a road with a distinct road noise as backround, I have been unable to observe any difference in the audio quality when I activate or de-activate the noise compensation feature via the audio menu (it is my understanding that the effect is immediate when activated). My dealer mechanic has admitted to not knowing how it is supposed to work or how he can verify that it is working.
My expectation is that when noise-compensation is activated, I should hear a significant reduction in the background noise (similar to the Bose noise-compensation earphones I use on an airplane).
Would appreciate any feedback as to how the noise-compensation feature is supposed to work and how I can verify that it is indeed working.
