2002 Q45 Backup Camera

Has anyone replaced the backup camera on their Q with something newer/better quality? My backup camera is almost not useful on my 02 due to it being so grainy. I'm not sure if this is due to age or just that it was from 2002? My 05 backup camera was much clearer, as is the one on my 2006 Lexus. I was thinking of switching it out for one from the 2005 Q, but am not sure it would be compatible in the 2002 housing. Any advice would be great.

It seems like the backup camera shares the same part number between the 2 years [28442AR220], so maybe yours just aged out? Doesn't seem likely, so I'd just try to hit it with some lens cleaner to see if it freshens up.
Has it always been grainy in all your ownership of the car? Have you had a chance to try tweaking it through the diagnostics menu?

The part number changed in 06, and even then there were 2 cameras depending on whether the car had adaptive cruise or not.

Anyone care to post pictures of their screens in backup mode? I'm curious what changed visually.

I bought the car less than a year ago and it has been grainy since then. When I had my 05, it was much clearer. I will try cleaning it and see how that fares. I will snap a picture when I get home. Not driving the car today.
