Well i just noticed this problem the other day. When im driving and i push the gas down hard the car seems to get stuck shifting or something. Like it will accelerate but it will not do it ina smooth way it will jerk back and foward. When i drive normally not pushing the gas down hard this stuff doesnt happen but i dont know if its a trasmission problem or if fuel isnt getting to the engine properly. Ive never had a trasmission problem when im driving normally the car shifts fine, it just seems like something is getting stuck and not letting the car accelerate properly when the gas is getting pushed down harder then usual. Just need some info on what it might be. its a 2002 q45

First I would get the trans flushed and see if that helps but from your discription I cant tell if it the trans or not but apart from major trans work thats about all you can do. But if its something motor wise id say check the tps.

The '02 Q had a couple of issues with acceleration lag that may or may have not been repaired under warranty. It involved a modification to the acceleration pedal and replacing the ECU or TCU (can't remember which). If you don't have a copy of the service records from Infiniti, I would visit your dealership and have them give you a copy. Work done at any Infiniti dealer will be in the database.

Here are some links to the Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) from Infiniti. This is from some I downloaded a while back, so there may be newer ones that I don't have in front of me.
