I read the transmission article posted on site.I an still uder warranty.BUT I would like to install the "1st gr update" suggested at end of article.any thoughts? Also, thought I'd seen an update or patch to have gps go thru my existing screen. (dont currently have gps) and don't realy want a "hang-on' aftermarket if I can help it.

THanksand thanks for a great job om info and resources.!!!!

Didn't say which model or options you have. No go if you don't have navigation (physically different screens).

Be sure you have both the throttle pedal and TCM upgrade.

It's a TSB for some early 2002 F50.

Well, I guess I can figure out what a TSB is .....12k miles later! maybe its the same thing as an ITB........ who knows. but now I get to fight with the dealer because now I'm out of warranty. some how on 1-18-06 I got the tread that Jason B and Maxnix posted 7-10-03. Not quite sure why I got a 5 word reply to my quetion when there was so much written and everyone was so excited that the original thread printed out 10 pages.

Here is my current post.....

just got off the phone w/dealer to schedule my oil change. Mentioned the ITB-02048 upgrade. He said since mileage was 56K I was out of warranty and I'd have to pay. he was a service writer and kind of a jerk - mentioned 'getting stuff of the internet...blah blah" I read him the serial # and he agreed that my car was in that group of cars but, again out of warranty. I mentioned it was infact a "power train upgrade" which has a 70k warranty. He said he look into it when I got there. Any thoughts from the group.I remember when I first got the car, I thought that the 'response" from the pedal was not right....iexpected more V8 and less cadillac. when I got a g35 loaner I was stunned at how responsive it was.

thanksMark

I thought the bumper-to-bumper warranty is 4/60K. You are @ 56K.
