Guys,

I have bought a 200Q45 with 153k km (96k mi) on it. The price of the car is 14800 dollars. The dealer is offering me an extended warranty for 2300.00 that will cover 3 years/60k km.

The parts covered can be seen in this brochure. http://www.lubrico.com/downloades/brochure_r.pdf

The warranty being offered is called "Superior protection" with addition of "Power equipment plus"

Do you think its worth to spend 2300.00 on such a warranty.

Wasim.

Extended service repair contracts depend on the company backing the insurance policy and how easy they are to deal with on claims.

The consumer/better business bureau in Ontario/London should have some info on company.

I always recommend that owners be prepared to spend 10 US cents per kilometer driven after 100,000 miles but this includes wear items tires, brake pads, rotors, services, etc.

Insurance companies can only stay in business IF they pay out less than they take in in premiums.

Always have a qualified inspector evaluate any used car to get a list of the thousand of dollars needed to return it to as new even at 96k.

Used car always have things wrong with them!

Thanks ,

I am a member of this board for about 5 years now and I have read many of your posts.

Lubrico is considered a good after market warranty in Toronto.

I also have a 95Q45 with 171k mi on it.

I usually drive about 10k mi a year. I am expecting to spend about 1500-2000 a year to maintain it as new, as Canada is expensive than US.

Do you think I should buy this warranty to deal with breakdowns since this is the first year of the new Q. Or Am I better off with the budget of 1500-2000 ?

Regards,Wasim.

Guys,

I have seen a list of items to check/replace for the older Q. Is there any such list for the new one.

Anyone knows a good mechanic in Toronto GTA area (Canada)?

Wasim.
