I was thinking of joining the pack here with a late model Q and found one with a display thats not working. it doesnt power up and all the things that operate from it like the climate control and nav and all that are also not operating because of it. Is this a major cost item to fix? Other than that the car is mint.

looks like it has blown a fuse or relay. the screen is just a screen should not make everything not work. try the voice command to see if it works.

i took a look at my ALLDATA and you need to checK the AV or NAVI cotrol unit. the screen has nothing to do with the AV/NAVI unit, just the screen. but if everything does not work then it migght be the harness or the AV or NAVI control unit.

If you gotta ask "How Much"?.......

You can't afford it!

I never ask how much, have lots of money and still can't afford it!

Every used [out of warranty] lux car for sale needs $3,000 [minimum] to return to near new. Don't be fooled by paint or interior.......these things last.Lexus usually retail for $3-5,000 more reflecting the better short term [100-150k] reliability and the higher new MSRP.

Why YOU MUST hire an independent consultant [technican] to price the defects so you can weigh the units as to cost of repair vs haggled final price.

Failure to pay to have INTENSIVE inspections leaves only yourself to blame!
