Starting to do some research on what this means. The SES light came on so I took it down to autozone. The OBD reader they had said P0011 cam shaft sensor Bank 1 (think) and something like timing advanced. The car is running fine, gas mileage does not seem to have changed, starts up fine when cold (Ok it is not winter yet) so if the timing were truly advanced it wouldn't start so easy. Autozone sells cam shaft sensors in pairs.

I asked the guy to clear codes, he did. The light has not returned, but only drove about 20 miles since reset. Unless my research shows different, if the SES comes back on and code P011 shows back up I will just change out both sensors for $80. I read the sticky on intake timing, is this the same issue?

BTW 2002 Pathfinder SE 4WD auto w/ 55K miles

Related question. Where is the ECU on this vehicle and does it have the same read feature of the maxima where you can turn a little screw back and forth, then watch and count SES light flashes.

new to the forum it looks great

Thanks in advance.

Yes that code is related to the same info in the sticky. There are actually I think its 6 codes that can be generated from the info in that thread. I do not believe your ECM has the access screw for pulling codes. They started phasing it out with the 3.5L engine control system.
