Hello. Im currently having issues with my truck not starting. It was working fine one day n the next day i cranked her up to go somewhere it wouldnt start n i didnt hear the fuel pump priming. First thing i did was check all my fuses, relays, etc, and checked at fuel pump harness to see if i was receiving power which i was. Since i had power at the plug but didnt hear the pump prime when turning on ACC i jumped to conclusion that it was a bad fuel pump n removed current pump n installed a new one. When both fuel pumps were in my hand, and out of the tank, i tested them both to see if they were working with 12v from the battery directly and they were. I also checked fuel filter n fuel pump return line to make sure they weren't clogged n everything was good. I put everything back together assuming the truck should now start n i still have the same issue :wtf2: , I don't hear the fuel pump prime yet im receiving signal at the pump harness. Lastly, i read in some other post or forum that it might be a bad CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR but im not sure n would like some feedback from anybody who might have had this problem before. The last test i performed was remove coil pack n plug from cylinder #3 n test for spark and i'm not receiving any spark. So in the end, do u guys/gals think this may be a bad crank pos. sensor or something more?? Also, is there a relay for the ECU/ECM that might have gone bad and will this cause this problem as well?? Once again, thanks for any feedback in advanced. :bigthumb:

Recently (last week) had the same problem and I tested the fuel pump by removing it and watching fuel spew into a rag. Also spark is there, all 6 coil packs can't possibly go bad at the same time. A $55 Crank Position Sensor and 5 minutes (not even) under the truck and it was good as gold.

Thanks for your feedback on my issue. I believe i read somewhere that it was probably the crank position sensor as well but I'm not too sure. Difference between my issue n yours is that I'm not receiving spark although when i read up on it, it did say that if the CPS was bad, i probably wouldn't get spark either. I'll probably try n pick up that sensor n install it one of these days n I'll let u guys know if that fixed my issue. Thanks once again for the help n suggestions.

Well my trucks had the CEL "check engine" On forever but i still drive it around with no issues. Don't get me wrong i had it scanned n all n it's a bad rear O2 sensor but it hasn't affected my driveability so i haven't replaced that sensor. I recently put new NGK iridium plugs about 2months back n the truck feels better now but when this happened to me, it was from one day to the next. I drove the car one day n it was fine, n the next day it would crank but wouldn't start. I have a feeling its the crank sensor though.

Hello all. Sorry for the very late update but got this fixed a few days after. Ended up taking it to a local Nissan master tech referred by a friend and it turns out it was my Anti-Theft not allowing the car to start. Apparently my battery went dead and caused the ignition sensor that reads the chip on the key to go bad and lose its programming. Had to get a new sensor that reads my key and had to get keys reprogrammed. After this my truck started up fine again. So whenever you scan your vehicle codes and NATS comes up, its referring to the Nissan Anti-Theft System.
