Alright guys let me start off by giving yall the situation as it unfolded. I bought this pathfinder about 10 days ago. Real clean car and was loving it. Filled it up the first time and ten minutes later check engine light came on. I have a scanner and read the codes it was something about fuel evaporation if I remember correctly. I cleared the code and my boss said it was nothing more than me needing a new fuel cap that it was common on Nissans. Well drove it a couple more days and snow hit here in South MS. It began to have a very rough low idle. Through codes for iac and throttle posistion sensor. Thinking it was due to the cold I cleared them. Car seemed to be doing fine just had a low idle. I could crank it and it would die. I could give it gas for a minute and it would even out between 200-500 rpms which was scary low to me. I didn't want the car to stall out driving due to the low idle so I adjusted the cables at the throttle body for it to idle higher. Then it had a code for a misfire on cylinder number 1. I changed the coil pack since it was easy to get to. All seemed well until today which has been day three problem free. I load up for a four hour trip car is running great I come to a redlight and the car dies after idling for a minute. Couldn't get it to crank so I called a wrecker and got towed home the two hours I had just previously traveled problem free. That was not a bill I was planning on. Anyways since I have been home and it's late I have just been reading and trying things I have found on this forum and have not recieved any new results. The security light is not staying on so I dont think its the key. The fuel pump seems to be operating since I smell gas I swapped relays with the fog and checked all fuses related to the fuel pump and ignition to no avail. I'm stuck and hopping someone can point me in the right direction I hate to start just buying parts and throwing money at it. Thanks for reading and any help that is provided.

I dont think its the fuel pump I tried spraying starter fluid in the airbox and it didn't change. The fuel pump seems to cycle normally I pulled of the lines on the top of the pump and the right one builds pressure but the one to the left does not. I believe the one to the left is just for vacuum purposes. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I'm open to try them

Pulled coil pack #1 and I'm not getting any spark any ideas? I know it could be several things just looking for a place to start

Can you swap the coil pack with another one to see if the problem moves? If it does, it's a bad coil pack.

Can you pull engine codes using an ODBII scanner?

Welcome to NICO.

Yes I have a scanner and its not throwing any codes. And the coil pack I checked is literally brand new but that also has me thinking it could be faulty since it is so realitvely new it could be a lemon. I'll report back tomorrow hopefully with my findings

Still no fire to any of the coils. I have some more questions. What are some things it could be that would result in no codes being shown. Crankshaft posisiton sensors, ECM, etc.

Have you disconnected the negative battery terminal for a few moments then reconnected and attempted to start the vehicle? Codes may be present afterwards.

Yes I left it disconnected and came back and tried to start it still no codes and no fire. About to take it to the dealership and see what they have to say I will still most likely fix it myself I just don't know where to start right now
