2002 Pathfinder Center Console

If someone could please assist...

I don't like the center console on my '02 pathfinder. However, if you've seen the center console on the '03 or '04 models they're much better looking. Getting to the point: I found a center console from a 2002 Infiniti QX4...could it properly replace my current one? Would the shifter align in the same place? Has anyone performed this mod?

please help...because I finally found the part...now its just a question of whether it will fit...

This sounds really interesting. I don't have an answer, but I hope you keep us informed on your progress.Also, I haven't really checked out an 03 or 04 console. How do they differ, and what don't you like about the 02 console? Thanks.

Update:

I bought a center console from an Infiniti QX4...I'll try to get a picture up ASAP. Now I need to find a shifter assembly from a 2001-2003 QX4. The console should fit perfectly...

If anyone can give me a heads up about where I can find a qx4 shifter assembly ..give me a heads up. This is without going to the dealer or calling up numerous salvage yards.
