2002 pathfinder 4x4 starter removal

I'm trying to remove the starter on my 02 pathfinder 4x4, I'm able to get it unbolted but there doesn't seem to be enough room to remove it. Does anyone know if anything else needs to be removed to get it out?

I checked the FSM and Chilton manual, and both just say to remove the cable, the two bolts, and just pull it out. It should be as simple as it looks
