2002 Passenger side headlight fuse (#55, 20 AMP) keeps blowing

Please help!

My passenger side headlamp fuse keeps blowing. It's fuse #55, a 20 AMP yellow fuse. I've seen tips say to swap bulbs from the other side, replace the fuse, and see what happens. Honestly, THE LAST THING I want to do is put the other bulb in there and it burn out.

How should I proceed with identifying the problem?

Swapping bulbs shouldn't damage your other bulb - It'll just tell you if the original bulb is what is causing the fuse to blow.

Thanks Skibane. I guess I have to go thru all of the steps to disassemble the headlights and swap the bulbs. Not how I want to spend Labor Day weekend... However it sure as hell trumps having to spend money on someone else to do it!

Just for the knowledge, does anyone know what the part number is for the HID Control Unit?

Found the part number. 26055AR010 Dealer parts department didn't want to give me the part number. They did however quote me the price... $744.14 LMAO

makes one wish for the simpler times when all you did was replace a $20 halogen bulb! No control module or overpriced HID bulb !
