2002 Nissan sentra SE-R 2.5L engine change w/5 spd

I am going to be pulling my engine out to install another one and my question is: is there enough room to pull the engine out of the car from the top by unbolting the engine from the trans and leaving the trans in the car or would it be easier to pull both out of the car together from the top.

Either way isn't going to be easy. Your best bet is to pull the transmission ffrom the bottom and then the motor from the top. Also, SE-Rs are 6spd, not 5spd. If it's a 5spd, it's not an SE-R.

its an SE-R non SPEC-V with a 5spd. The SE-R that has the 6spd is a SPEC-V.
