while on the subject...id love to have less clearance between my fender and tire, these rims look a little bigger so i wouldnt need to lower my ride, I also (and you guys might think its lame but since i was a kid loved it) am wondering how i can get the wheels to stick out a bit. not alot, just about a half inch outside the fender...i think it would look mean and cool!

when i dropped my tacoma, the fenders ended up sticking out more than my tires...so to make them flush, i used these spacers.

Im sure you could use the same spacers to get your desired look!

Don't know if this is helpful, but I run spacers on my Toyota truck, which is also a 6X5.5 bolt pattern. There are many different spacers on the market for toyota, from http://www.trail-gear.com to http://www.marlincrawler.com. I don't know if the thread pitch and everything is the same as I've only had my Nissan for a few weeks, but marlin crawler sells high quality parts.

they come in varying widths from .5" to 3".

If you do use spacers remember that your ball joints will see more stress because the centerline of the tire is being pushed outwards. Also if you run spacers make sure those inner lug nuts are put on with a red locktite and torqued to the specified 80 lbs and checked every now and then.

Then again, the backspacing on the nissan wheels may be less and the wheel alone may change the position of the tire. Maybe someone with more nissan experience will chime in...

I think it will look pretty good, they are still silver painted wheels, so it won't stand out like chrome or black.

The rims should fit no problem. Pathy/QX4 are the same platform, bolt pattern and essentially share the same wheel well, or at least very similar.

As for your speedometer being off, it will depend on the size of the tire, not the wheel. I mean the size of the tire on the Pathy wheels vs. the size of the tires your rig has stock. I am not sure the stock size for either rig, but I assume they are very similar.

You can use a tire calculator to see if they are the same. Google "tire calculator" and the Miata one is great.

For example, my 2001 QX4 takes a 245/65/17 stock, but with 16 inch wheels, it will be a 245/70/16. That is so close in diameter that it's only like .1 percent different.

I got a deal on my snow tires, which are 245/75/16, so the speedo is about 3 percent too slow. It's not that big of a deal to me. They are about an inch taller.
