2002 Maxima SE VIN# location help

Trying to buy a 2002 maxima SE from a private seller. The car drives and looks fine, but I found there are not VIN# on any of the doors, hood and trunk. Is this normal for Nissan Maxima? Any 2002 SE owner can confirm this? Thanks!!

I have an 01, and it's on the firewall behind the intake manifold.See Pic. (Hope this helps).

I found one on the firewall as your picture showed. So there are no VIN on doors and hood for SE?? I am driving Acura and all the doors as well as hood , trunk have VIN on it. Dealer told me if there is no VIN on it, means the part had been replaced. Seems it is not true for Maxima, right?

Either he's wrong, or your not looking hard enough.I'd say it's the first one. Never really checked.

There's a sticker between the Driver side front & Rear doors. It's low on the body, and can be seen clearly. It may have been removed for cosmetic reasons / during a paintjob by someone, etc.

That is what I am looking for. But seems 2002 model is different from NewfoundlandDude's post.
