2002 Maxima headlights

Hi. I'm new to this site. I'm trying to help out a co-worker. Her 2002 Maxima headlight has gone out. She told me the parts store wanted $150 for 1 headlight. Now, I don't own a Nissan, but I've never paid that kind of money for a headlight. I checked Autozone.com & saw some on there for as little as $10. What's going on here? There can't be that much difference in price.Are there 2 different types of headlights for this vehicle?Is there a part # somebody can give me?Thanks.

2002 Maxima has Xenon D2R HID's so the bulbs are more expensive. I suggest she get a pair of them or the color may not match. Factory HID's are in the 4300 kelvin range.

OK. I had been looking on Ebay for these. I was wondering what the K was. Some were 6000K, 8000K, etc.

Is there a (somewhat) cheap source for the factory bulbs?

I'm not sure what brand they are but Nissan itself is obviously going to be expensive.

Anyone else know what brand Nissan uses?

Personally, I would go with a reputable Ebayer and stick with a pair of bulbs between 4500k-6000k this will give your friend a clean white.

Going over 6000k ventures into blue territory.
