The car has stalled three times this week. the problem coincides with new full tank of premium gas. After the third stall the check engine light came on. I am now on another new tank of gas, replaced the air filter & added Lucas fuel injector cleaner to my last fill-up. Three weeks ago I had the oil cooler seal was replaced, oil & filter changed by the dealer. Brake job and left front strut replaced.

Can I expect the check engine light go off similar to when the gas cap is loose & tightened? or Should I suspect a more serious problem?

Have the code scanned somewhere and go from there. Could be bad gas, or it could be bad cam or crank sensor. Finding out what the code(s) are will go a long ways in going the right direction.

Thank you. I had AutoZone scan for the code.

P0340 - Camshaft Position Sensor (Phase) Circuit (Bank 1)

The car is showing symptoms described in other threads. Long Cranking stalling etc.

Is there imminent damage potential if I wait a day or two to have it fixed?

Thanks again for the input.

A little more info. I would personally get it into a shop.
