This has been going on for some time. My daughter's car and this winter it would not start every so often then would start and run for about a month then not start for a while. Tow it to a shop, car starts no problem found, no engine light no log of issues. The last time it finally got to the mechanic shop and wouldn't start. Diagnosis, needed battery (low amps), air filter plugged, oil change. Got car back and about a month, no start tonight at Fred Meyers. Anyone have an idea? I might get to it tonight if the boyfriend will get with me after work and test for spark and or gas but that is all I can go to start looking.

Oh, one of the mechanics said a bulliten came out on this and it was a starter issue. Cranks fine even when it wont start. Any suggestions.

change the starter and run a fuel additive. I second the bulletin. Happens during cold weather. Good luck.

i would also take a look into ur alternator and make sure it's properly charging ur battery. autozone can test ur alternator for free. could be as simple as a loose ground from the alt that intermittently establishes a connection. i have heard that the starters do go out. replace it and see what happens. if you're still having that problem, check ur alt.
